Hi Gerry, Happy Birthday my darling. I hope you are having a ball in heaven. I got you 16 red roses, a heart with your picture on it and the words "if love could have saved you, you would have lived forever". This is hanging on your memory tree. I also got a rainbow mirror which is placed in the garden pot containing your Gerry Hunt rose. This says whenever it rains look for rainbows. It also has your name on it and a heartfelt message from me. Darren, Jamie and I send you a red balloon with our personal messages to you. I do hope you received them. After the b-b-q we sat and watched Buddy Rich videos and the Muppets. Then the boys played Hotel California and we had a whisky toast to you.
Its a very different day to what is would have been if you were her. But then life never has, and never will be the same without you. It was a year ago today that we held your memorial concert. Darren and Jamie excelled in their efforts and it was a truly amazing dedication and tribute to you. We all strive hard to keep you with us and to honour you as you truly were the exception to the rule. An amazing man in every sense, and we all truly appreciate who you were. We all love and miss you so very much.
Our 5 grandchildren are all following in your footsteps with their musical and artistic talents. They all love performing and being on stage. They are funny, quick witted, artistic, musical intelligent and very much a chip of the old block. Your legacy lives on in our sons and grandchildren.
We all look for signs that you are still with us. Today we were all amazed that you remembered to come. It was unfortunate that I did not notice you until after I had lit the b-b-q. I am so sorry that I nearly fried you, and that smoke got in your eyes. I do hope you come again very soon.
Di is doing well but is still missing you very much. She loved her master and pack leader so much. I think she find me very boring, but she seems to be much more affectionate lately.
Please always remember that I will always love you and stay exclusively yours. I wish with all my heart that we were making mad passionate love tonight.
