Happy Birthday my Darling Gerry,
I love and miss you so very much. My heart is breaking for you still. I wish with all my heart, body and soul that you were still here.
It's your 71st Birthday today. I hope you are having a great party in heaven. Darren and Jamie have been over today to remember and honour you on your birthday. They brought you wonderful heartfelt birthday cards. i also bought you a lovely card with Animal from the Muppet's shouting Hooray is your birthday make some noise. It reminds me so much of you. I also bought you a dozen red roses.
We sent you up a red heart balloon each with our own heartfelt message to you. We then had a chicken Jalfrezi curry and a non alcoholic larger. Then we ate a few chestnuts.
We all went out into the garden again an Darren chopped and trimmed the Wisteria whilst Jamie and i stripped out the dead magnolia tree and planted a new healthy one in its place. I bought this a while ago but waited until today to plant it in your memory.
After that we all came inside and the boys played and sang your favorite song to you, Hotel California. It was a very poignant and emotional experience. I do hope you were watching over us and enjoying your birthday tribute from us.
We also drank a whisky toast to you. It was from the special personalised bottle that the boys bought you several years ago. We use it toast you on special occasions to you, Like Christmas your birthday and the anniversary of your passing. The bottle is nearly empty and the boys looked to see what it would cost to replace it and it's £150 a bottle now.
I will light a fire tonight in the log burner as another tribute to you and hopefully send you some Reiki healing, then drink a toast to you and your good health.
It is getting quite autumnal now and the winds are getting stronger, the days are getting much shorter.
Di is ok, eating well and getting stronger, she seems to be very happy.
I have not seen you butterfly for a very long time now. I do hope you are ok. I always felt secure in the knowledge that you were ok when I saw you. I am a bit worried now just in case things are not good for you. Please can you send me a sign that I will understand to let me know if you are ok.
I went on Sunday with the Rock Choir to the ICC in Wales. It was our big sing day and 1400 Rockies went. I was quite a good experience but i am not sure i would do it again. It was a good day with very bad organisation from the venue point. They only had three food stations with one person serving for all those people. It was a total disaster from that perspective. It was a very long day . I am glad I did it though.
Austyn and Violet are coming tomorrow for a sleep over again. I do hope you are here to enjoy them.
I don't have much more to say now , so I will leave you wishing you a truly wonderful birthday. I hope you are parting hard and having lots of fun.
