My Darling Gerry,
I love and miss you so very much. It's 9 years ago today that you were taken from us. I still feels as raw as if it were yesterday. I can't believe you have been gone so very long.
I put a heartfelt message in the Evening Advertiser for you, got you 12 red roses, released 8 butterflies and tried to sent you a balloon. There were 6 red balloons tied together one each from me, Darren, Jamie, Barry and both sets of grandchildren. The weather was so bad we had to abandon the bbq and have it indoors. We sent the balloons up when the rain stopped but unfortunately, they flew into the trees over the Iron Horse and are still there. I am so sorry that you will not get our messages. Darren and Jamie played Hotel California to you and then we had a whisky toast.
We are all missing you so very much. I hope you are ok and having a great time, I saw you butterfly yesterday It was amazing to see you again, you always make my heart swell with love, pride and gratitude and admiration when is see you. I guess you knew the weather today would not be suitable. I am so pleased you remembered. I was thrilled and grateful to see you again, thank you so very much. You have always been there for me and you still are.
Di has been very poorly. She had a severe stomach upset and was having lots of nasty accident in the house. She seems a lot better today. Hopefully she is over it now. She is very thin and her back legs are not holding her well at the moment.
I will go to bed thinking of you tonight and hopefully I will see you in my dreams.
