Hi Gerry, I love and miss you so very much. Sorry it has been so very long since I last wrote to you. Life has been a bit busy and stressful. Di is getting very frail now and her back legs are giving away quite frequently. She is dreadfully thin and does not eat very much. She often poo’s in the house as her muscles have obviously gone and she has no control. She sleeps most of the time now and does not like me leaving her. When she goes outside for a wee she often lands spread eagle, and her legs often give way indoors too. She never complains or shows me any pain or suffering even though she must be. Her eyes are still mucky, and I have to clean them every day. She is doing amazingly well as she is now approachingi15 years and 4 ½ months. Austyn had his 12th birthday on 21st October and Sienna was 10 on the 1st November. We all went out to the Windmill on Sunday 22nd October to celebrate both birthdays. We gave Austyn a drinks bottle with 7 different flavours which he apparently wanted and £20. We also put £20 in his bank account. We gave Sienna a big Winnie the Pooh which she saw and wanted. Jamie asked us to find one and we eventually found one on our last day in either Hollywood studios or Universal studios I cant remember which. We had a hell of a job to find one and Darren spotted the last on in a shop there. We also had a job to pack it as it was so large. Kelly managed to find a space. Sienna was over the moon with it. WE also gave her £5 and put £20 in her bank account. Austyn and Isabelle have now started at the senior school. It was a bit of a culture shock for them. Austyn loves it but Isabelle struggled for a while. She is now quite settled in and they are both doing very well. Violet and Geneveive are both doing well at school. Sienna is changing and gaining confidence. Thank you for answering my request to help Sienna. She has been unanimously elected to be the student counselor. The kids were asked to give a speech on how they could help other children. Senna spoke about her knowledge and understanding of Autism and kids with learning disabilities' and how she knew fist hand how to help them and manage the situation. She knew how they felt and what they needed to support them. This had given her great confidence and pride. She is now integrating better with other children and has even asked to join an after school craft activity. Thank you so very much for all your love and support. I went on Thursday to watch Violet at the Wyvern in her school carol concert. She was absolutely brilliant and smashed it. Darren was also playing the pit with the orchestra. He was also brilliant. I hope you had a chance to go to Darren’s Holloowen show. It would have been amazing. Jamie was his guest guitarist and Anthony also went to sing. I only wish I could have gone but I had to look after Austyn and Violet while Kelly went. We have all had a lot of car problems lately. Thank you so very much for looking after us all and always guiding us to safety. Darren and Kelly broke down whilst out looking for a replacement car for Darren. You guided them to safety. Thank you for finding Darren his replacement car so quickly. Jamie also had car problems and had to have an expensive repair. Both boys had borrowed our car but when Jamie had ours is develped a serious problem which had been looming for some time. He had to come off the motorway as it was losing power and struggled to get up to 50miles an hour. It also struggled to pull away after stopping. Thank you so much for guiding him home safely. Our car is now booked into the Nissan repair shop on the 28th November. It is the only place that can identify and repair the car. I do hope it will not be too expensive to repair. I do want to have to replace it as it was your car and I love and treasure it. I will have been without a car for about six weeks by then. Having no car is awful. I have to rely on Darren and Jamie for getting or taking me food shopping. they are both excellent at being here for me always. I also have to get a lift from a fellow Rockie to take me to choir on a Thursday evening. Thank you for finding me a timber yard in Wootten Basset. I cannot go there at the moment to get any wood for the fire as I have no car. Jamie has been bringing and chopping wood for me to help me to last until I get the car back. Thank you for sorting out our finances and for advising me on who to take my engagement ring to for repair as I have lost a diamond in it. I have done all I can to get the garden winter ready. I have chopped and shaped the trees in the front garden and cut back everything in the back garden. Christmas is looming once again. I cannot go out shopping for it at the moment as I have no car. I will probably get everything on line but I do not have a clue what to get anyone. Maybe you could give me some ideas. I had to buy a second pair of glasses as I broke my new ones. I do not quite know how. One of the lenses fell out and both lenses are chipped and cracked. The opticians would not replace them so I had to get another pair. This year is becoming unexpectedly expensive. I have loved seeing and spending time with my butterfly. I love seeing you and spending quality time with you. I don’t suppose I will see you much more this year, but I look forward to seeing yo again next year. You always male my heart swell with love, pride, gratitude, awe and wonder of you. I know it’s you and would recognise your wonderful, colourful bubbly personality anywhere. I love and miss you so very much., wish you were still here. I hope you are happy and well. I hope you are having the most wonderful life in the most wonderful world. With lots of friends and family to have a fabulous life. I hope you can play your drums in pop, rock and jazz bands and can play your legendary famous drum solos. I hope you can travel the world your in and this world as much as your heart desires. I hope you can snorkel in the Indian ocean, walk barefoot on soft sandy beaches, go on catamaran rides and watch sunsets and sunrises. I hope you can have beach parties, romantic candlelit suppers on the beach. I hope you can go anywhere and do anything your heart desires. I hope you can come home anytime you wish and spend time with your family. I welcome any visitation you wish to give me. Wishing you a wonderful life, with health and happiness and lot of love. Until we meet again, please always remember that I always have, and always will, love you forever and always. I can’t wait to be in your loving arms again. All my love forever and always, Hi Gerry, I love and miss you so very much. All my love forever and always, Hi Gerry, I love and miss you so very much. I don’t suppose I will see you much more this year, but I look forward to seeing yo again next year. You always male my heart swell with love, pride, gratitude, awe and wonder of you. All my love forever and always, Hi Gerry, I love and miss you so very much. All my love forever and always,
This candle went out on 30th December 2023.
