Drumkit Tribute To Gerry

Connor Byrne's (one of Gerry's students) drumkit dedication and tribute to Gerry. Connor ordered this Gretsch drumkit in Marine Pearl - Gerry's favourite colour and the finish his beloved Rodgers drumkit (which he bought in 1977 and it remained his main drumkit ever since). Gerry loved this kit because it was identical to the one Buddy Rich (Gerry's drum hero) played at the time he bought the drumkit. Gerry originally intended the kit to be a gift to his first born son, Darren (also born in 1977), but decided it was far too nice and played it day in, day out from that moment onwards. Gerry always thought a lot of Gretsch drumkits, so would definitely approve of every aspect of Connor's kit. It's fantastic to think that Gerry and his drumkit had the very same impact on Connor, that Buddy Rich had on him!
