I love and miss you so very much. We are still in lock down and it looks like it will continue until Easter now. That means I have been in lock down for almost 14 months. The situation is getting much worse now. We are the worst country in the world for this disease now. The death toll is rising rapidly to almost 2,000 a day . The infection rate is still well over 40,000 a day for new cases. It is truly terrifying. We do have a vaccine available now but it will take most of this year to get everyone the first dose, and we each need two doses. Then we will have to have a booster every year. Our reported death toll is almost 100,000 now. and that only the ones that the government will admit to.
It is so very lonely here without you. I can only talk to people on the telephone. Di does not want to go out much for walks now, as her legs are so very bad, and the weather is so cold and wet. She is beautiful though, and great company and comfort to me.
I don't have much new as I don't go anywhere, or see anyone. I had the car MOT last week. It failed on broken suspension on both sides at the front of the car. I cost £517 to get it fixed.
I had to also buy new glasses, I managed to get the same frames. I now need to go to the dentist and get my broken tooth fixed. I am scared to do this because of the virus infection risk. I also need to book another vets appointment for Di to get some more pain killers for her arthritis. All in all it is an expensive time for me. I thought January and February would be quiet and cheap. Never mind.
