Lit by Maggie 3rd December 2022
HI Gerry, I love and miss you so very much. It is December the 3rd and it is bitter cold. I have not put the heating on as it has got ridiculously expensive. It could cost up to £300 per month if i was to use it as desired. I will light the log burner in a moment. I am lighting it every day now. I stocked up on logs but they are going very fast now. Darren and Jamie and myself along with their families are going to Christchurch tomorrow for the Prospect Light up a Light service. It used to be help at Prospect and was a lovely service accompanied with mince pies and mulled wine. It had to be a virtual service during the lockdown years and now it has moved to Christchurch in Old Town. There will be no mince pies or mulled wine this year. It wont seem quite the same there. We always go to honour you and to remember you with love and price. I always write a lovely message in the memories book and a star for their Christmas tree. Di is suffering a bit now, A couple of weeks ago her legs collapsed again. She was off her food and legs for several days. I took her to the vets last Tuesday for her routine checkup and her prescription for her medication. The vet thought she had a stroke which caused her fall. Her head tilts to one side most of the time now. The vet also said she now has a mild heart murmur, her arthritis is much much worse and her mobility is quite poor now. I have stopped taking her for walks now, and she just runs about in the garden. I was advised to add in Paracetamol daily but she will not eat her food if it has that on. So I am keeping her fed with lots of treats and dog meat. Giving her lots of love and hoping for a good recovery. She is eating better now but sleeping most of the time. She is also having lots of accidents in the house. The vet things there is lots going on for her and suspects she has kidney problems. I did not see the point in having lots of blood tests and then getting her on ever more medication which would have disastrous side effect so we are leaving her be to see what happens. She has lost lots of weight again and is now only 22.9kg. She used to be about 30kg. The vet thinks it will be obvious in four weeks time whether she will survive this or not. I do hope you are watching over her and giving her love and healing. It will soon be Christmas. I have done all the present buying, but cannot think of what to get you this year. I usually have ideas but I seen to be all our of them this year.Maybe you can let me know what you would like. I do not think I will decorate the house this year unless I suddenly get inspired to do so. I will get out the animations and a few bits though. I hope all is well with you and your world and that you are having a wonderful knew life in heaven. Mick has joined you now. He passed over on the 2nd November. His funeral is next Thursday the 8th December. Darren and Jamie are taking me . It is in Leatherhead and I did not want drive as it would scare me to death to do that, as I don't know the area. We are not looking forward to it. I will have to leave Di on her own that day, and she hates being left now. Carol Bellingham usually has her but she had acquired an old cat and she wants it so settle in before meeting Di. Steph wont held to Kelly is going to pop in on her way home from work to set her out for a wee. There will still be accidents though. Until we meet again, please always remember that I always have and always will, love your forever and always. All my love forever and always, Maggie XxX
