Merry Christmas Gerry, sorry this is late. I intended to write to you on Christmas evening and to send you some reiki love and healing.
Unfortunately I did not get home until 2.15am. I will explain why a bit later.
I sent you a balloon message yesterday. I also got you 20 red roses a toblerone, and several items fot your memory tree. I got a white china bauble with your picture on, an angel, several stars, two hearts, a framed photo of you and a butterfly. It does not seem much but it is difficult to buy for you now. I do like to keep your memory alive as best as I can. You gave me a red sparkly woollen dress, some make up, cocktail liqueurs and coffee syrup.
I then went to Jamie's for our present giving and Christmas dinner. We all had a lovely time. We got Jamie and Lindsay a wooden garden bench and some money. The girls had lots of presents from us too. I had a picnic basket of goodies and a lovely surprise. It was a teddy bear make out of one of your fleeced cardigans, the one with the wooden toggles. It is absolutely amazing and it is holding a pair of drum sticks. It also has under its coat a pocket with a heart in it. This heart hold a recording of your voice which says. "Good Morning Mrs Hunt, how are you today?" It also had your aftershave Hugo Boss on it. I was gobsmacked. To hear your voice again, smell your aftershave and see this little teddy make of your cardigan was emotional and sentimental. It will now sit on our bed. I was going to put it in your armchair along with y our photo cushion. However I decided against it as Di would be able to smell you and as its a cuddly toy she would want to destroy it like all the others she has had.
I then went to Darren's for present giving and another Christmas dinner. We gave them tickets to a west east show in London and some money along with a few other goodies. The kids also had lots of presents from us. They gave me tickets for the Rock of Ages show at the Wyvern. I also had a dinosaur garden ornament, a fluffy jumper and lots of other goodies. We were having a great time, but Austyn was feeling a bit poorly. Brent and Russell were supposed to come as well but Brent was not very well. Kelly took them a plated diner and found Brent really unwell. She phoned for an ambulance and he was taken to A &E. Kelly went with him. He had a brain scan and several other tests done and was admitted to the Linnet ward. I had intended to come home around 10pm in order to write to you and do the reiki. Darren was quite distressed, as we did not know what was happening at Gwh. Austyn was very fretful and feverish, then Violet became the same. I decided to stay for support for Darren. I went and picked up Kelly about 1.30am. She was very grateful as she had gone out unprepared and would not have had enough money for a taxi. Besides it would have cost a fortune.
So here I am today writing to you. I hope you are having a good time along with the family, friends, drummers, musicians, artist and other like minded people. I hope you are watching over us, and not feeling too sad. I will spend the rest of Christmas home alone. I miss you so much. I have been remembering other Christmases we spent together. Like the one when you gave me the holiday for a the Caribbean Cruise. The family parties, and wonderful times with out two little boys. The sleepless night before Christmas waiting for the boys to go to sleep. the preparations you make and the videos after a long tiring evening doing a gig. Oh how I miss those days, and you. Our love making under the Christmas tree, cosy night drinking whisky by the fire.
Life is so different without you and I DONT LIKE IT ONE BIT. WISHING WITH ALL MY HEART, BODY AND SOUL THAT YOU WERE HERE.
Until we meet again, remember I have, and always will love you. You were the man of my dreams, and I was so lucky that you chose me to be your wife. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did for me, and all you gave me and the love and joys we shared.
